Rope Bowls  are all the rage.  You will learn how to create a rope trivet and bowl with accents using cotton rope.

Kit Cost:  $30.00   Includes:  Cotton roping with cotton core used by experts in this art.  50 wt -- 100% cotton thread to match your rope and various fabric scrap tidbits to accent the rope trivet and bowl.

Supplies Needed:  Straight and zig/zag machine capabilities, basic sewing supplies: sharp scissors, Schmetz 100/16 JEANS needle, glue stick, pins and wonder clips.  Optional:  50wt -100% cotton variegated (light color) thread.

Take this portable seat cushion with you to games or your neighborhood meetings.  Easy to carry with handles.  Fits over top of chair with a back cushion and a seat cushion to make those hard surfaces more comfortable to sit in and relax.
Kit Cost:  $25.00  Includes pattern, fabric, velcro and elastic.
Supplies Needed:  2 Foam Cushions - 14" x 14", 2" thick (we can cut down)
Variety of threads, glue stick, basic sewing supplies.

Everyone needs a hat in the Florida sun! Jan will be teaching this cute, fast and fun project as it is custom made to fit various sizes.  You will want to make more than one!!!

The key to this smart garment is its simple structure and choosing the right fabrics.

Supplies Needed:  2 yards of Main outer fabric and a coordinating lining, which will be seen, matching thread and basic sewing supplies. Fabric can be drapey or stiff.

This fully lined bag folds neatly into your purse for trips  to the grocery store and is a great gathering place for children's toys, file folders and sewing supplies for your next class.  Make several of these  useful  bags for yourself, friends and family.  The bag pictured with the cute sock monkey brightened the day of a hospitalized child.  Finished size is a sturdy and roomy 14" x 18". 

Are you always looking for projects for your FSS meetings?  At the end of this class, you will have a finished "Know When to Fold'em" and an added bonus, a kit for a surprise project.

The Harley Bag is great for a night out, running errands or everyday depending on your fabric choice.  In this class the kits will be woven fabric, however, the pattern works well with cork or vinyl.

Cost Fee: $25.00

includes pattern, fabric, interfacing, foam, zipper and hardware.

Supplies Needed:  You will need a sewing machine with a zipper foot and basic colors of thread.

Even Easier WIP Bag

The Even Easier WIP Bag

Julia calls this project the "Even Easier WIP" (Work in Progress).  Julia got the idea for this bag from watching Youtube creators, and after making more than 30 bags, has customized the design to suit her needs.  It's a quick and easy project that includes two sizes/versions, with vinyl window fronts and a front zipper.  Techniques include sewing a zipper, simple straight - stitch quilting, working with vinyl and doing a faux binding.

Kit Fee: $25.00:   Pattern, fabrics, fusible fleece, interfacing, zippers, vinyl and tissue paper.

Supplies you need to bring:  Basic sewing supplies. wonder clips, assortment of threads, zipper foot, stiletto or seam ripper, Large quilt Ruler with 45 degree line, 1/4" foot, Tailors chalk.

This backpack folds up into a small bundle to store in your car when you need to be hands free at the market or wherever you need to be. It has a hidden zipper pocket and drawcord opening and is personalized with your initial.  Keep this on hand for when you need to hold your valuables when going to the Parks, or on a hike.  It is lightweight and durable - 100% cotton.
